Landscape design and conservation are rich research topics particularly in our beautiful country of South Africa. I’ve included current articles written for SA Landscaper as well as links to my formal research. Understanding global landscape trends is also important and links are provided to innovative designers I follow. In terms of conservation my main research interest is Biodiversity, the sheer magnitude and range of plant and animal life on planet earth. Focussing on human and plant interactions, another related and fascinating topic is the use of medicinal plants and traditional plant based medicine by indigenous communities. Also included here is a blog section consisting of essays, presentations and talks

The African Flame Lily is used in African Traditional Medicine as well as an ornamental plant in Biodiverse landscapes. Growing and empowering graduates as well as developing landscapes is an important facet of my work .
